Counselor in Training Program
Our leadership development program is designed for teens, entering 9th grade and 10th grade. Our program offers leadership opportunities that prepare teens to become leaders, productive members of their community, and shape them as their best version as they prepare to apply to college.
Through workshops and hands-on experience, O-La-Moon-Do Camp's CITS will learn about group leadership, program planning, communication, instructional activities, working with children, health and safety, creating a positive environment, and facilitating adventure team-building.
The CIT program includes:
-
Participation in sports and camp activities
-
Language instruction (English, Spanish or French)
-
Internship in all aspects of a counselor job, including workshops on child development, and behavior management
-
Public speaking and strategies for essay writing workshops
-
Participation in a community service project
-
College counseling workshop
Being a CIT is a unique experience. The CITs learn and grow as a leader while they have fun. They learn to be a positive role model for younger campers.
